Billie Jean (Home Demo - 1981) + J Rocc - Beat Junkie Radio: Michael Jackson We Love You

Michael Jackson - Billie Jean (Home Demo - 1981)

This is amazing to hear a classic at it's vulnerable stages. It's hard to believe this iconic dance floor staple wasn't initially received well by Thiller producer, Quincy Jones. Would Thriller have been the best-selling album of all time without this single? Imagine if they stuck with the original song title, "Not My Lover."

J Rocc dropped this version at the Vans 3 Feet High Half Cab party last Thursday at 39 Hotel here in downtown Honolulu. Michael Jackson passed away that afternoon. My mellow, Compose, said it best that night saying how it was a sad day but we got the right dude to celebrate his music. Celebrate, we did.

The Funky President blending Michael Jackson's "You Rock My World" acapella over J Dilla's "Climax" instrumental. Then he dropped Ol' Dirty Bastard's "Shimmy Shimmy Ya" acapella. Respect!

Dude!
