The Mega Team - 1992 DMC World

I came across this incredible footage while browsing the Turntablist Network. This is The Mega Team from the Phillipines' showcase set at the 1992 DMC World finals. Truly an extraordinary exhibition. From the moment right after Red Alert introduces the crew and one of them starts banging on that Emax Sampler, I knew it wasn't a standard six minute DMC routine. The routine to me sounded like a 90's precursor of the Scratch Perverts fused with Gir Talk.

This is my favorite piece from Phenomenon's Spring 2009 collection. Two of the jackets feature a unique denim wash as well as multi-colored cuffs, shoulders and collar.
